Thrilled to be supporting WildAid Charity this year

Thank you everyone!

We’re really humbled by the number of you who responded to our call for charities we could support with a donation from sales of our new Purifying Hand Mist.

After tallying up your suggestions, we are thrilled to announce that WildAid will be this year’s recipient. WildAid works to reduce the global consumption of wildlife products and to increase local support for conservation efforts. The charity also works with governments and partners to protect fragile marine reserves from illegal fishing and shark finning, to enhance public and political will for anti-poaching efforts, and to reduce climate change impacts.

Not only is this charity entirely relevant to the moment in which we find ourselves, but it also embraces conservation efforts dear to AMLY. We’re so grateful to you, our wonderful followers, for introducing us to this incredible organisation that we’re going to increase our donation to 5% of all Hand Mist sales.

About WildAid

WildAid is a conservation charity working to end the illegal wildlife trade in our lifetime. The trade-in wildlife products is a multi-billion dollar global industry largely driven by consumer demand in expanding economies. When it comes to ending it, WildAid is committed to staying the distance.

While most wildlife conservation groups focus on scientific studies and anti-poaching efforts, WildAid works to reduce the global consumption of wildlife products and to increase local support for conservation efforts. The charity also works with governments and partners to protect fragile marine reserves from illegal fishing and shark finning, to enhance public and political will for anti-poaching efforts, and to reduce climate change impacts WildAid recognises that when it comes to the global decimation of wildlife, the root of the problem is in public perception and the economic forces behind the illegal wildlife trade.

Reducing the supply end is essential to work in halting the production of wildlife products, but it’s only part of the problem, and that’s what makes WildAid a conservation charity with a difference: they dared to ask the question;

“What if you can reduce demand on these products?”

They looked at the tried and tested ways that companies use to stimulate this demand: high profile spokespeople, massive billboards, media campaigns, and adapted those same ingredients to focus on eliminating demand.

WildAid uses the same techniques as top advertisers to create everything from high-impact media campaigns to award-winning documentaries, featuring some of the most influential voices in the world advocating for wildlife conservation on a massive scale. Their programs persuade consumers not to buy illegal or unsustainable wildlife products, such as shark fin soup, ivory, and rhino horn, and to make better transportation and food choices to reduce climate change impacts. Over the past two decades, their video, print, and online campaigns have measurably increased awareness about poaching and prompted changes in attitudes and behaviour. As a result, there have been significant drops in prices and consumption of endangered species products.

WildAid is making an impact by mainstreaming sustainable lifestyles, inspiring a whole new generation of conservationists to protect the natural world, combat the climate crisis, and eradicate the use of wildlife products for good. AMLY are so proud to support this incredible organisation and will be donating 5% of all Hand Mist sales so that we can unite in our collective endeavour to protect and preserve. Naturally.
